2024 France/Spain Tour.

Close to market was an old church and town square. Church front facade was lovely, then there were folks playing music along with people forming a close circle, then slowly raise children and young adults above them, then slowly do 360 degree. I here no idea what this was about.

Training the children for entry into the Human Tower Building Competitions, perhaps? Vilafranca del Penedes has a plaque, statue or plinth on just about every street corner and several paving stones that are carved with details of their latest victories in the sport

Steve, I thought practising elevating up to the pearly gates 😇. Peniscolla tomorrow for a day or three, then to Morrello, then eventually Salou, where we are meeting up with Sebastien and his girlfriend, Seb is bringing me the Spanish lpg adapter. At Salou we are booked onto a resort site with swimming pools etc. Chill for a week, then onto Roses. We should pass the town you mentioned. Melting here today @ 29c 🥵

Terry, if you haven't booked yet, Parking La Brisa is just back from the seafront [400m walk] and was €11.50 per night for a long Van in the low season. It has a free Washing Tower that enables you to wash the Van roof. It's a wee bit robust, but very popular with German, French & Dutch Motorhomers. It's about a 10 minute gentle stroll to Mercadona and there is a really cheap BonArea Fuel Station about 300m away. Nearest LPG is on the northern edge of Benicarlo N340A Repsol heading in the direction of Vinaros [almost directly opposite Tambo Motorhomes who is a very good Repairer, albeit his prices are not as cheap as they used to be. He does carry a wide range of spares and specialises in fitting in M/Homers with 'en route' problems without an appointment]

The Repsol Station is reported as having the Spanish LPG adapter for those who don't have their own [not tested this!], and the staff will do the filling if you don't mind waiting a couple of minutes. Price on 15th April was €0.979 per litre [about 85p per litre]

Terry,

There is a free Aire at Vilafranca del Penedes [part of a network of about a dozen provided by the local winegrowers] with about 20 spaces at the bottom of the Town Centre Car Park. M/Homes also park in the main Car Park as well, which is a bit naughty ... 72 hour max stay, but nobody checks ... 400m uphill walk to Mercadona, and there is a Wine Museum n the Old Town, a further 250m further on

Petromiralles Fuel and LPG Station is about 400m in the other direction from the Aire. If the Aire is full, there is a larger facility about 1.75 miless away at Santa Margarida Los Monjos with a cycle path direct to Vilafranca. M/Homes can park in the very large Car Park there, except on Saturday evenings when the Car Park is cleared to provide Car Parking and space for the Sunday Market. 48 hours stay limit, but again. no monitoring
