I agree with you MegThe problem with all the technological solutions is that other people need to know how to access then. Everybody thinks that what is self evident to them will be so to others.
As a rally organiser I don't like the idea of messing about with someone"s phone, handbag purse etc. If there is a simple piece of paper in an agreed location, easily accessible in a hurry, that would be ideal.
All those people you speak of are trained and no doubt a little wee bit of that extensive training was where to look for information (and their role gives them the right to do so in the circumstances). You would surely mess with someone's phone or bag if it possibly held info that may save a life. I did when I was a uniform cop and paramedics look for any medical info, including devices, if there is no other info readily available.
For those of us who steward meets and rallies it is a concern when someone takes ill or has an accident. At the end of the day this is a situation we are all in every day of our lives unless we carry ID or a bracelet so it’s nothing unusual
Hi Meg, emergency services are aware of these features and how to access themThe problem with all the technological solutions is that other people need to know how to access then. Everybody thinks that what is self evident to them will be so to others.

Never heard of that. sounds like a good idea. Did a 'duckduck' (don't google!) and found this ....We have one of the Lions club emergency info pot which you put in the fridge with all information in it. There are a couple of stickers which come with it, one goes on the front door, the other on the outside of the fridge to show where pot is. They are free, we got ours from a police stand at a craft fair. Mum has one which worked brilliantly when she fell at home. Emergency services had access to all next of kin and prescription info as well as medical history and allergies.
I Have just installed Duck Duck go, thanks for the info.Never heard of that. sounds like a good idea. Did a 'duckduck' (don't google!) and found this ....
I never knew this snippet of info either "....The bottle is placed where the Emergency Services are trained to look, in the refrigerator door...."
Unfortunately that’s the sort of thing I’d do too. Did give our pots to relevant parents though but see most small containers as caches first and foremost.I was given one of those Lions pots a few years ago. It made an excellent geocache container, with some electrician's tape round it.
...and hopefully remember where you put it !Idea.
Where I get my repeat prescription in the bag with the tablets is a printout of all my medicines, doctors name and address nhs number etc.
Well worth when you go away taking a copy of that list, I put one in my bag.
Another idea is to copy everything onto a memory stick.
Had the same idea myself given the amount of meds. Like the idea of a green cross as an indication of relevant info, especially at meets.Idea.
