Body work help

That really sucks, feel for your losses and sorry can't help with the door as in Yorkshire and it's a late reply so hope you got it sorted.

Firstly, so sorry to see this happen. I hope this hasn't dampened your spirits too much in using your motorhome!!
Secondly, O'learys normally can source a door quickly, but don't rule out calling Camperama in Germany, as they have access to a lot of spares including end of line stock, then find a local Caravan Engineer to install. I would also have suggested the Classic Hymer Group on Faceache, as they also have a good contact list for dealers both here and over the pond that may help source a door and frame for you.
As for deadlocks/additional locks, sadly the nature of your attack is the exact reason I do not recommend them. If they are persistent enough, they will not care on how much damage they cause in breaking into the van. Also as time goes by and damage like this occurs, finding parts as sadly you have found are hard to come by such as doors and plastic windows.
I hope you manage to get the matter resolved quickly.

Wow , £2000 for a door, how can that be justified for such a flimsy item ?
It's not a matter of what it costs them to make one more door the same way they make the others and to deliver it. (£100?)
It's their assessment of what it would cost someone else to manufacture one from scratch. (£1800?) plus an allowance for the "is it worth bothering?" factor (£200?)
The difference between those prices is both their profit margin and an indication of how greedy they are. It's similar across the vehicle market, and the attitude of makers varies. Look at the differences between prices of Mercedes and BMW spare parts. The engineering is similar, the attitude differs.

Basturds, I hope you get it sorted quickly and cheaply, I'd suggest fitting a dead lock to it at the bottom when you get it done, and to anyone who has a similar type of door, this may be the new scrotes way of gaining entry and once passed round they won't bother with windows.
