When we purchased our van, it had an annoying clonky rattle somewhere in the cab area, which worsened on uneven roads.
After umpteen trips holding this bit and pressing on that bit, I found its general area to be above the drivers seat.
It sounded as if it was a lump of wood bouncing up and down on something.
So, the next step was to drop the head lining one side at a time.
Inside was a sheet of thick plywood (the culprit) which was free to bounce up and down as it had not been screwed/glued down.
This was the floor of the overcab locker.
After drilling a few holes through what is the cabs metal roof and screwing in some screws the problem was solved.
