Boxer fuel gauge

Have a sticking fuel gauge, tried a drop of lubricant and moving it mechanical. No luck. Has anyone had a similar issue and replaced the dive motor shown in the photo.
Not even sure of the correct name for the "motor" drive. Hoping to buy one from RS or Farnell and repair the speedo's pcb.

What year is the van? pre 06/07 ones had this issue also with the temp gauge, I did a video of it and even with the ignition off it was moving about.
