Cleaning the black streaks

I'm not sure where they come from but there are black streaks down the side of the front door and in various other places. I got some stuff called 'black streak remover' which was rubbish. Then Norma (She Who Must Be Obeyed) suggested Fairy Power Spray. It worked a treat.

Just in case you also have this problem.

It is the grime which comes down in the rain, road dust etc being washed off the roof, Elbow Grease does it for us.

Be careful with Elbow Grease as it leaves streaks on graphics if left too long.

I use Autoglym engine cleaner, I've been using this for years it doesn't do any damage to your paint work or the decals .

Hi. I was recently advised that Fairy type products should not be used on vehicles. Bog standard shampoo works well and won't degrade the surface. It also cleans pretty well. Also, look up the things you can clean with WD40.

I checked the area yesterday and it looks OK.
