We’ve escaped the wind but now the rain has set in.
Managed to collect only three bags of plastic rubbish from the beach to justify the free wildcamp. Pretty clean compared with mainland Scotland.
The Brough of Deerness path was closed due to a landslide so we had coffee watching three different bird species cohabiting on the cliffs.
I wonder if he knows his cousins in Whitby dine on fish and chips?
Whilst slowly going down the east coast towards the Drum meet we found Portnockie.
What a great little harbour with a lido packed with wet suited kids and adults. Plenty of harbour wall plunging. Sunday afternoon pleasures for the locals. Pity there’s no overnight sleeping.
