Indoor project for winter

When it's really too cold to work on the van outside, I dug out an old project to finish indoors.

That's pretty cool. Do you know there are some awesome, and cheap, electronics around now for things like flashing lights, sounds, make smoke, movement all by remote control?

I've got a couple of arduinos spare and a whole box of things like proximity sensors and stuff. Something will happen. Bear in mind though I bought the dome and hemispheres from a plastics company about 15 years ago and started building this in 2015!
