We've got a 20 odd year old 570 and it's brill. The heater has died, the water heater has come out in sympathy, 5th gear kicked the bucket a couple of years ago ( since repaired) and like us it's starting to show its age, but we love it. So if it feels as if it suits you, no question

Be careful, Lunar went bust around 6 weeks ago, if they are not bought out hen original spare parts we’ll cease to be available. This can be overcome but repairs can take much longer due to sourcing parts.

Bentley went bust before we got our van, but getting spares has never been a problem so shouldn’t let that put anyone off a Lunar.

According to October's Camping and Caravan magazine (p17) Lunar Caravans Ltd has been bought out of administration and the new company, Lunar Automotive Ltd, was registered on 1 August 2019. The article states that owners of a Lunar caravan or motorhome should contact their dealer regarding aftersales and warranty work. It also states that there were still 124 redundancies from the factory prior to the summer shutdown.

Meanwhile...........on p14 of Caravan and Motorhome (October 2019) magazine a similar article says that the company statement announced that production of caravans was scheduled to begin in September and that motorhomes would continue to be part of Lunar's product range. The South African based engineering group called MEWA announced that Lunar Automotive Ltd will have only one director - Nicholas Marks. At the time of going to press it was unclear if the new company would be accepting liabilities of the previous company and recommends contacting your dealer if you have concerns about existing warranties.

Meanwhile No.2.........MMM magazine has an article on p28 which adds that "production of 2020 caravans has begun with the new line-up about to be launched, while new motorhomes will be launched shortly"

Meanwhile No.3...... Practical Motorhome magzine (Nov 2019) p49 adds to the other articles with an interesting line "....he said (Nicholas Marks) Motorhomes will continue to be an integral part of our planned range. We are discussing some interesting ideas that will show the enginuity of our design and production teams going forward. He said all existing orders were being fulfilled, while working with its wholesale finance partner DF Capital, the company has managed to retain all but two of its old network of about 50 dealers. Lee Roberts, sales director of the old Lunar, will head sales for Lunar Automotive. The workforce that Lunar Automotive has acquired numbers 85, but Mr Marks said it was likely to start recruiting again soon.
So, based on those announcements I think it should be pretty safe to buy a Lunar motorhome, from one of the 50 dealers, with a warranty! :)
