Our Daughter in law has never been to that oasis if perfection.
My son is arranging a surprise trip for her birthday, with lunch at the swanky Midland Hotel.
Unable to book a room, he tried Expedia..
The nearest is 20 miles away.
Looking for an entertainment for the evening, he clicked on this link:
https://www.expedia.co.uk/things-to...2&sort=RECOMMENDED&startDate=17/8/2021&swp=on
Of the 2 recommendations, neither was in Morecambe..

She's going to remember this birthday..!

My step son lives in Morecambe the sea view is nice and unfortunately that's the only thing that is don't venture out after dark

Take it you've never been to Grimethorpe then?.....
Last time I visited grim Thorpe.... It wasn't promoting itself as a seaside location and holiday resort...

Morecambe does.... And it needs to be taken to task under the trades description act...
Most of Morecombe looks (and is) derelict.
It's shocking what the local council has been able to get away with.

They actually had nice, family day..
The weather was pleasant.
Posh nosh at the Midland.
And a beach sports day on the deserted seashore.
The 2 grandsons tried the sea temperature and decided it was a little too early in the season for total Immersion.
Glad they couldn't get a room for the night, and returned to a sodden Altrincham..
