Beware Dingwall parking in South Side Lorry Park. Received a £50 PCN for less than an hour.
Recently attended a Camping and Caravanning THS at Black Isle Showground, Muir of Ord and one of the many places we visit is Dingwall.
We usually park at the Lorry and Coach parking and have done for over 15 years amongst other campers who even used to stay overnight with no problem.
This time was different however and on our return after less than an hour, discovered a Yellow PCN on windscreen as vehicle parked in an area not designated for that type of vehicle. On looking around, spotted new signs at the entrance and exit which shows type of vehicle allowed with a tick or cross to show permission.
Ticket was for £100 or £50 if paid within 14 days so and despite challenging it with usual mobility problems, bringing trade to the town, never happened before etc. just coughed up eventually.
There are a few places around Dingwall to park i.e. Tescos but this one is so convenient for the Main street and the charity shops that must be checked out.
