What made you smile today.

The 'Weather Report.......' thread made me smile.
2500 posts and over 10,000 views since last November.
Keep reporting, Moho-ers!

Watching mummy sparrow trying to feed her brood on our bird table.

Some of the facilities on the Aire here near La Loire made me smile:

........and that's unmetered (free) electricity provided by the local community on this free site!
Lest you're a hungry passing Moho-er and don't notice the facility they've thoughtfully placed a prompter:

Flinglish ;) (could have been wind)

I might need some help with this one, Chris.
I'm not sure about your reference to 'wind'. I always thought that Flinglish was a patois spoken in Helsinki.
We (I) await your clarification, please.

Hi Colin;-
Flinglish = Full English brekky.
The thread is 'what made you smile' - wind makes babies smile and follows a hearty breakfast.

Sorry, probably more confused than ever now

Chris

I came across this busy bee earlier today working flat out:

Frankly , when you see the size of the task ahead of him, you've got to admire his optimism:

That makes sense, Chris. Thanks.
Please bring to the next meet we both attend whatever it is that you're on.
I think it's time for me to try it.

Too many cryptic crosswords, I expect everyone to have a mind as distorted as mine o_O

This chap joined me early this morning for coffee:

We both rested awhile and admired the view across to La Loire.
If you look closely you'll notice the experience made him smile.

We went to a restaurant we've visited on previous holidays here in Azay-le-Rideau last evening. The 'Moules' are great there.
We ordered the local rosé for Jane and water for me.
Twice.
At the third time of asking for the water I was told that they were waiting for a carafe to become free.
So the embarrassed French couple at the adjacent table passed their water across.
I asked for the 'Moules' offered on the board. Sorry, we've none.
Jane asked for the sole offered on the board. Sorry, we've none.
So we finally agreed on sardines, which come with rice.
Only they came with frites.
And, I have to say, the sardines were great. Which eventually brought a smile to my face.

We plan to go to a rather nice pizzeria this evening................

Colin ???
