Withdrawing Cash from Portuguese ATMs

We also use our First Direct card to withdraw cash with the Virgin card as a back up.(I wouldn't travel anywhere without them)
But we are talking about local charges and I found in Spain that the Deutsche Bank was the best?cheapest to withdraw cash.
Also discovered that French Banks do not generally charge so we stocked up with Euros for those small purchases
