WW2 touristy route stuff in France

It's around 30 years since I went to France by motorcycle and we want to go see some things and pay our respects.

We don't want to waste time going to see places with poor disabled access, but nor do we want to miss anything either.

The plan is to go Calais - Dunkirk and then head west, we will be going to the Pegasus Bridge where D-day kicked off too, but we were wondering if anyone had done this before and had a good route to take.

Kev, Another option is to head down the east side of France after Dunkerque where there are village after village of Franco-Prussian, WW1 and WW2 Memorials, then loop across the Loire Valley and back up to the D Day Memorials, perhaps taking the Dieppe to Newhaven Ferry (20% OAP discount but have to book by phone to get this). Chenonceaux Chateau is worth a visit for its ancient history, but also for having its front door in what was Occupied France and the back door over the river into Free France

We wouldn't bother with Bonny sur Loire or St-Gondon and, if time is tight, we would drop Kayserberg and Plainfang. Prices were for 2022.
