New Kettle

Just wanted to share my new eBay purchase how beautiful is my new kettle.



Just thought I’d share it also came in it’s original box.

No mine doesn’t whistle either in the add it says 60/ 70s chrome on copper and I remember my parents having one when I was a child I have tried for years to get one on eBay but have always been out bid but not this time ??

My mum and step-father had one in their caravan and we was always impressed with how fast it boiled so we bought one.

Still have a almost new used twice one ( they bought just before they packed in caravanning ) still boxed at home.

Friends of mine had one back in the seventies, they emigrated to Australia so I don’t know if they still have it. I know they always used to say it boiled faster.

Well here’s the thing I ended up with two, I had such a struggle trying to get one on eBay and always being outbid so when two came up I bid on both won the first one £34 + postage, then 4 days later my phone pinged even though I hadn’t bid as much on the second one I expected to be out bid but no I won that too in the past they had gone for over £45 +pp so at a bid of £27 I left it expecting to lose it so I have 2 ?

I think the stick was probably for the brand and the weight of those kettles rather than cost.????

It boils quicker than any other gas kettle we've tried.

Yes I was surprised how fast they boil and what a great pourer the spout is.

They don’t make them anymore haven’t made them since late 70s early 80s which is why they are hard to get hold of.
