retired 5 years ago at the ripe old age of 49, following a motorbike accident
Spent 2 Years in a wheelchair, bored out of my mind, then slowly got back to Semi retirement doing my trade, Joiner..
Live the life of Riley, sometimes, picking and choosing what I want to do
Waiting for my early pension, 1 year, and my wife’s early pension 4 yrs, then........off in the MH, or a newer one
Fingers crossed.
Take care, and do what you can

It's a bit off-topic, but your profession and history there reminded me of a chap I know, John Looser, who was a framer building houses until he had an accident that stopped that work, but for the last decade or so he has created a whole new career using those skills.

Also a bit off / on topic is my own desire to get more into the off-grid and solar side of things as well as the electrical side of things having been recently inspired in the last year by @wildebus himself and a chap called BIG Clive, if you have never seen any of Big Clives Videos or know anything about him then I would really recommend as a Youtube channel to watch is you are at all into the electrical side of things, can be geeky so be warned
This is one of Clive's popular videos

If you knew as many people who have died in they 50s as I, you'll know why I'm finished at the end of the year age 55. There's more to life than earning money.

Fully agree - even more so as my schoolfriend lost her seemingly fit and well husband last night while camping in Spain.

As for me, I was a tourism marketing consultant until being made redundant.

Merchant seaman! Was due to retire December next year but the buggers decided they want us to work till we drop before we can live some life!?I'm getting about in the bus around Ireland at the moment but I want to do longer trips around Europe next year.?

I’m a stonemason 41 years in. Another 10 to go before I get my pension. I spend as much time in my camper as possible. Can’t imagine what we will all be driving in ten years time. Or even if we will be allowed to use camper vans !

If your username is anything to go by, at least you'll always likely have a few electrical fixes to occupy your spare time !

Having spent 34 years flying, from Bell 47 to S61 and Cessna 150 to Boeing 767 I retired 7 years ago, and bought a motorhome. Unfortunately having flown 757s for over 20 years my health has been poor since retirement, probably due to Aerotoxic Syndrome. However, still able to get out and about in the van for now, so will just make the most of it.

Thanks I got the Health and safety it was the EQ I wasn't certain about.

Retired after nearly 40 years in the NHS as nurse, midwife and health visitor. Then I started working as a forensic nurse for the police, a very interesting job! Only part time, so lots of opportunities for motorhoming, thank goodness. I love my Moho!

I know many of you are retired, but for those unfortunate people who still have to work what's your job ?
I'm currently a HGV Driver soon to semi retire
I was forced to Retire last year on September 14th 2018 after 49 years on the railway because the company I worked for would not let me work beyond pensionable age ,after 2 days Retirement on September 17th I received an offer which was suitable to me as I wanted to keep working part time and go away as much as possible in my motor home .Last year I spent four weeks around Spain and in April/May this year I had 5 weeks in Europe .I leave the UK again on September 1 for 5 weeks mainly in Poland Czech Republic and Germany. 18,000 miles In two years and enjoying every minute of it .Always meeting new people and everyone so helpful and giving advice ,best investment ever is the motor home .well my train is waiting ,I'm driving a freight train from Carlisle to Doncaster over the
ettle and Carlisle route with breath taking views .and I see many motor homes parked at beauty spots on the way and always give a Toot on the horn and a wave .keep all the interesting stories coming in
