Thanks TerryI have my ASCI book with me Rog, I will have a look later and get back to you
Thanks Terry.I know as soon as the french go back to work at the end of August the low season starts because we went on a site in the South West a few years ago on the 1st Sept.
Looking at the book some sites offer the discount from the a few days to the end of Aug but all of the ones in Brittany offer the cheap rate from September 1st, you can sometimes get a better price without the book according to some but I have never managed it, if you need to know about a specific site or town Rog then please ask
If you don’t need electricity and/or showers which are always included with acsi, it is often cheaper to pay the campsites basic low season rate omitting these extras.I know as soon as the french go back to work at the end of August the low season starts because we went on a site in the South West a few years ago on the 1st Sept.

I've never paid much attention to campsites either, but there are some aires/wilding locations where a car at the back shouldn't be an issue. Difficult to give recommendations without having some idea as to what you look for in a location and which part(s) of Brittany you're planning to visit. Thanks Terry.
Never really paid too much attention to campsites before, always just wandered around the aires. But will probably have to be a bit more aware with the car on the back, should be interesting!

For Dinan, you may find that the aire at Taden is a suitable place if it's not too busy. (Only one other motorhome there in early June 2018.) Just don't try filling up with water there unless you have a few hours to spare - it really is slow!
If you're near Mûr de Bretagne, you'll find at least one suitable location near the Lac de Guerlédan in our sister forum's POIs.
In Finistère Sud, the main aire at Névez should be suitable; some of the commune's coastal aires may be OK (Rospico, for example, perhaps Port Manec'h), but others may not have the space for the car as well. Névez is a possible place from which to use the car to visit Concarneau and its ville close.
As you may be aware, www.campingcar-infos.com is an excellent resource (much favoured by WildCamping's POI Admin).
You could try the Area Sosta Camper near Dinan Rog, plenty of room if not too busyWe would like to spend some time exploring Dinan, we have driven through it but never had time to smell the roses so to speak.
We need somewhere reasonably secure to leave the Mothership while we pose around in Poppy. Any ideas?
