Hi we are planning a trip to the Italian Lakes in June in our Peugeot Boxer self build camper and looking at the best route. We want to avoid too many mountainous roads that will take forever (beautiful as they are), we only have two weeks off. Any suggestions

We drove via France to Turin in 2018.
Avoiding tolls ans using the Col de Mont Cenis pass.
Pass was easy but it all takes time !
Given what you post you may wish to use toll roads and Tunnels and Switzerland etc but it all costs !

Maybe down through France and the Mont Blanc tunnel thus avoiding Switzerland
Can avoid Tolls in France.
Suggest not in Italy as
a) Alternatives are too slow
b) Not that costly

frejus tunnel is an easy ascent and decent.
Put lake iseo on your list!!! And sirmione (lake Garda).

We also always use Mont Cenis to cross into Italy good lakeside aire at the Col Mont Blanc tunnel is expensive at approx €60 one way
