What do you consider is the best modification you’ve made to your van?
For me it’s been converting to refillable gas and the adding of a solar panel.

Yes, definitely swapping to refillable gas. Notice a BIG difference in cost.
I've booked up to have two more panels and two batteries with a upgraded regulator and metering system.

E & P Levelling jacks, lithium’s plus inverter coupled with good solar. All very expensive but really appreciate all these bits of kit.

Remote controlled solar panels can stop them at any angle I want + lithium batteries.

For me, it is adding something that means you can enjoy the trip without having to be always thinking or compromising.
So first was upgraded Battery System and Victron Multiplus - use same sockets on or off grid, plus fast recharging of batteries when plugged in (after installing one in Camper, another one in the new Motorhome was a no-brainer).
Second was changing the 2 Calor Gas bottles for a hybrid Calor/Gaslow setup. Refill where possible, but extra flexibility to bottle-swap if situation demands it.

I fed a bit garden hose along the heating trunking ( now hot or cold water) onto a new garden hose rose ( not easy to say ) and fed into the toilet pan ,the only downside is chr* st it takes ages to warm up .

The best thing i done was make a dedicated parking spot for the van called the landing pad. But to the van itself I’ve done the lot the works. But by a country mile the best has to be the lithium batteries.
