Druridge Bay Meet in August

If there are any Solbio Toilet Additive fans going to Druridge, I have most of a 2L(?) sachet of Solbio going spare to the first taker to show interest :) I hate it but It is expensive stuff so be a shame to just chuck it out if someone actually likes the stuff :D

These things are very much personal preference, but I decided to try it after I saw a number of youtube 'influencers' ("effulencers", if for toilet stuff? :D ) raving about it :rolleyes:

I did everything meant to in terms of prep and even used a brand-new loo cassette I happened to have, so no trace of any previous products in there. But for me, it just smelt blooming awful after just a day or so. (and TBH, I don't tend to notice smells, so it is odd I am picking up on this!)
Maybe different if the cassette is emptied daily so nothing 'builds up', but I am usually solo, and would easily go a week before emptying.
I know if you do a wee ( ;) ) search on say YouTube or Forums, you will see two very distinct camps on Solbio, and for those it works for (y)(y) , but for those it doesn't, it is an extreme negative, not just a 'not for me' reaction!.
 
Unfortunately we will have to shorten our stay to get home for a hospital appt. Therefore we will be leaving on the Monday instead of Tuesday. 😿
 
OMG Robert. Hope you are recovering OK. Remember it’s only a load of metal which can be replaced. Your life is more important. Take care.

Druridge Bay Country Park Rally | August 7th - 12th, 2025


We are excited to announce that Druridge Bay Country Park has been added to our rally schedule for 2025! This rally will take place from Thursday, August 7th, to Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, and is limited to 50 vans. The cost is £16 per van per night, and we will be using the triangle camping field (as shown in the header image above).

The rally field has drinking water and rubbish disposal.

Six minutes walk (0.3 miles) from the rally field, there is a block with showers, toilets, a washing-up room and an Elsan point (shown on the map below).

How to Book a Pitch

To reserve your spot, simply post in this thread with:


• The number of nights you’d like to book.
• The day you plan to arrive (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday).


Payment Information

Please place the exact amount for your camping fees in an envelope, along with:

• Your username
• Your vehicle registration number


Payment will be collected upon arrival at the site.


Arrival & Departure Information


• Arrival: Please do not arrive on Thursday, August 7th before midday.
• Departure: You must vacate the site by midday on Tuesday, August 12th.
