Back on the canalside POI in Leeds, after 3 nights visiting old friends and haunts. Hot, sunny day and spectacular sunset. Someone is having a fireworks display. Free entertainment.
Overcast this morning but dogs are happier, Colin has a fleece on though so don’t think he is impressed. Edina popped in a few minutes ago and has gone again so will see him at druridge
Hot and sunny, just pulled off at Gloucester services so dogs can have a pee and Caz can have a smoke. Tent gauge says 30.8 in the van and 31.5 outside. Toying with a walk over to the main building to see if they have any more sick green colour shorts
Back in Buxton it is saying 16 degrees but feels just right to me and nicely warm. Sun is out and little wisps of cloud about at the moment but as I will only be seeing it from the office window it doesn't really matter
I will be taking the usual scenic route to work though, pac roads through Wormhill > Millers Dale> Chelmorten then a bit of a race over the Ashbourne road. Oh no I am in the car so will be a steady drive with audiobook on
Very fair day in Leeds, yesterday. Looking ominous, today though. 20 degrees max, showers later. Hope they have got the forecast wrong for Druridge Bay.. We set off tomorrow.
Last evening at the POI at Roadford Forest, Devon there was a lovely sunset over the lake:
This morning there was a mix of showers and patchy blue blowing in from the Atlantic. I stopped off for a wander around Launceston (I haven't been there for years) and the weather was much the same. Now I'm on the POI at the disused airfield near Davidstow, Cornwall. It's huge and could easily accommodate the entire membership of WC And MH!
it's now brighter but cooler than of late.
This empty and wildly beautiful location:
will be my stop for tonight, methinks.
Please feel free to drop in for a tea or coffee.
rather cool all day......county durham area.......suns been popping its head thru every now and again............soooooo much nicer and more bearable than the hot, clammy weather..........if its like this over the weekend for druridge....i for one will be a happy bunny.........
