The fun resumes. Off on the tunnel 8th July. Slowly working our way down France towards Portugal. No rush as the temp in Rouen at the moment is around 26 degrees with scorching sun. Might move across through Spain if FCO clear Portugal from bad boy list. Anyone else down here?

Hi ,Are the Aires open in France now and can you wild camp anywhere as usual please ?

Just heard of a British couple who walked into a Spanish restaurant without a face covering, even though every one else was.

Police fined them 600 Euros. It's easy, and expensive, to forget individual national rules in these new normal times.

8th of March, wow, hopefully things will be clearer by then. Apart from going to Hereford in August we are keeping ourselves isolated but like you we are thinking about March / April 2021 for foreign jollies

Fair point. The man in a chemist queue in front of my wife has a home in Spain and was telling the staff about it. Perhaps something has been lost in translation and that they were walking to the restaurant.

I see today's Daily Telegraph is currently reporting that tourists leaving their hotels without face coverings will be fined, supporting the principle.

Hi Trigger,
Wildcamp CR by river just outside Abbeyville last night. AF Oissel tonight just south of Rouen. All seems to be normal except for masked locals. Only a couple of days so far but we will update if we find any problems. Had to head for the shade under a tree by the river🥵.

How do you get the escargot to hold their head out long enough to eat them? I’m starving.

Alright Pete, just got a bit confused with month, edited to July. Mostly getting the year right since June. No chance with days of the week. Everything pretty normal in France. Are you keeping ok?

AF La Ferte Saint Aubin just south of Orleans. About 10 Motorhomes overnight in this quiet spot, about 4 remaining after 9am. More on the aire than on the campsite 100 yds away. I think we will check out the town and it’s chattox 😤 then wend our way down the Loire valley travelling west for a while towards Montsoreau. After that we head for the Puy de Dome near Clermont Ferrand. Always been in a rush to the south on trips before retirement. This slow life is very different.B8BBC4F9-7DA2-4874-9D91-49FE54D1B316.jpeg

Not doing too bad, still above ground and drawing breath, getting dreadfully short of the red stuff though 😥 🍷 :p

We spent a week looking all around the Puy du Dome, Pas de Peyrol and Massif Central region in general a couple of years back, great region if you like a ramble, maybe the lifts and Train will be open, saves the legs a bit.20180921_103057.jpg

Had 2 nights in Puy de Dome area waiting for a clear day to go up to the top of the volcano. Well worth the wait. Just had a night by Lac Pavic up at 4000 ft but still 24 degrees in the day.

Onwards towards the Dordogne next.

Takes mobile hairdressing to a whole new level (4000ft). Wildcamp by the lake and grooming time.
