Just doing a quote with Saga and they do 90 days but I'm a mere 63 with pre conditions due to Cancer. They are also covering emergency treatment due to Covid. I cant get worlwide though only Europe

If you do need worldwide try Allclear, they were the only ones who would cover me at all at one time.

I think it was because I included USA and the Caribean, without them I suspect I would have been ok but having got a quote for Europe I thought Id quit while I was ahead.
Plus just found out my stoma reversal is imminent so it may all change soon anyway

Nationwide have withdrawn travel insurance for new customers. Existing customers with certain accounts are still covered.

As it has been raining since 10 o'clock I thought I'd complete this exercise. My findings are

Insure& Go: No coronavirus cover offered

Saga: - £329 - Max 120 days per year; max 90 days per trip

C&MC: - £317 - No medical screening so I have emailed therm to check; cover upto 66 days per trip

AnnualTravalInsurance - need to ring to get quote (strange for an on line company!!)

All Clear: 60 day max trips on an annual trip policy

Aviva: Not taking any new customers

Staysure: 50 day max length trips on an annual multi trip policy

JustTravelCover: quotes start at £522!

TravelSupermarket: Couldn't get past page 1 on their quote page!

So notwithstanding any more suggestions I think my options are:-

1) Pay £300+

2) Price up single trip policies for each trip including backpacker polices I guess

Any more suggestions folks?

Try justtravel.co.uk
I excluded cancellation and baggage single trip 105 days in Europe £350 or so
2 minor medical conditions

That's a very useful summary, Graham - thanks for posting.

Colin 🙂🙂🙂

did you remove most of the "Extras"
We only need medical..

Everything I could see: baggage cover, cancellation cover plus no cruise/skiing and no dangerous sports. Now down to £429!

So a long telephone call.
AXA say the "do not travel" advice means do not go abroad.
But if you are abroad you should travel home.
That is a matter of interpretation rather than fact (IMO)
Do not travel unnecessarily means do not travel unnecessarily !
No matter which way !
Typical insurance backsliding..any excuse to weedke out of a claim.
I informed them I will not renew my extended cover
I expect an email shortly confirming a further examination of my claim (Little prospect of them paying)
Then wait 1 month !

Regarding wether or not you should travel home, this was the advice on March 20th, if that’s any help.

AXA just confirme NO!
I have sent them the linkwhich says ALL international travel
And asked if they have a dictionary to help with the word ALL
