It is also free for the blue badge holder and one accompanying person into the castle tooThe good thing about chambord is that you can overnight in the car park, free for blue badge holders. The castle at night is really spectacular!!

Jeff & I moved on to a lovely aire at Lenora’s do mondego Nr Guarda it’s at a locals picnic area and swimming dam it has free hot showers immaculate and free electric, we sat out after dinner last night until 9:30 and I wondered how old the olive trees used as pitch dividers were?, this morning I went online and found this rough formula the tree measured 3215mm so rounded down 1600 years old which would make it 425 !!! I know Dave & Rhona love it there but that tree is older than greengrass
