Weather Report..................

Worst 24 hours weather in over 25 years. Road damage by floods, cold westerly gales

Just like Bridlington in August.

Our guest left to unexpected sunshine, a rainbow and a stiff westerly breeze.

The gentle breeze has veered around and is coming from the NE, bringing a day of further light rain. The temperature has dropped to a cooler 12°. 🌦️🌧️ 🌧️

Very windy and wet overnight, Pendle Hill invisible in the murk, rain stopping soon they say so heading to RHS Harlow Carr, expected high of 7°, wind has dropped a bit, now ENE but still gusting to 38mph.

Mmmm.

Just had a horizontal rainstorm.
Looked like a horizontal waterfall, from the south. Huge winds behind it.
Calmer and clearer now.
Just seen a very bedraggled, knackered seagull, staggering back the 18 miles to the coast. Hope it makes it.
Some poor soul left his motorhome bathroom roof vent open...
Hope he didn't leave the shower plug in...

Probably explains the knackered seagull.
Someone in the campsite office wasn't listening to the weather reports. Methinks.
