Rollers for Cheap!

Been quite a few thread about underbody protection and using rollers.

If anyone is interested, I have a bunch of unused rollers from a conveyor that would be ideal for this (I am putting one on my own van later this month when I am down south).
Looking for just £4 each for the rollers. This is an example of one (they are all the same).

Size wise they are 450mm long with a diameter of 45mm.

These are excellent for outside use - Here is a photo of a roller that is fitted to a Wheel Prep station I made back in 2012 and this has been outside in the elements since the Summer of 2013, so over 5 1/2 years in all weathers.

Can bring these to the Frog for anyone who wants any :)

Would the blue plastic inserts be up to the job of taking the heavy load exerted when “grounding”? A metal insert with bearings would be better. Just my initial thought, and comment.

An interesting point. I would regard doing something like this as a precuation and aid against scraping the rear.
In that situation, SOMETHING has to give if the siuation gets too extreme - and I think having a roller costing under a fiver being the part to get destroyed is a great deal more preferable to having the stress transferred to the chassis and having that damaged? (A bit like a Bumper taking the damage to prevent more serious damage to the bodywork)
