We once adopted/rescued Big Jimmy and after a long time (it seemed like forever) he eventually got a twinkle back into his enormous soft eyes.
This enormous 1,000+ kgs 17.5hh monster used to follow me around our farm over in France and occasionally I would sit down or even lie down and he almost always came and either sat or lay down by my side!

We’re always worried about our dog being taken as she loves to sit or lie outside if it’s fine the only good thing is that she just barks if anyone leans or tries to lean over the gates but as she’s barking she’s running back to the door
