Just a quick note to thank those that have arranged motor insurance with us these past 12 months. We have enjoyed another record year thanks largely to the support of our clubs and associations, including Motorhomer members.

We remain highly competitive for Motorhomes/RV's and Campers, Classic cars, Imported vehicles, Modified and performance vehicles, Commercial fleet including catering vehicles.

Our team can be contacted on 02380 268351 or visit our website at www.aib-insurance.co.uk

We hope to hear from you soon!

Cancelled our renewals of car and M/Home because AIB were hopelessly uncompetitive. Caravan & M/Home Club offered free Membership for first year, and an extra 1,000 miles mileage for some £70 less; SAGA offered 3 years fixed premiums for the VW Tiguan for an initial £15pa premium reduction, not a huge amount, but with AIB wanting a £50 increase over last year, the 3 years fixed premiums was an attractive option. AIB not interested in discussing matching or discounting their quotes. AIB's loss, my gain

I got a great deal from them for the van I’m building a special cover for a van whilst being converted. They also got me cover for my other van when I had 9 points on my license about 7 years ago and nobody else would touch me. All speeding tickets accumulated in a 3 month span.

Geeeezus, and I allowed you to reverse your Dethleffs, at speed, into my garden!!

Tried to donate some even with the promise of diamonds I was told to sling it. Very expensive 5 years for me until they came off imagine trying to get insurance for 3 vans a motorhome and two cars I actually doubled Christine’s insurance just being a named driver on her policy.

Wully, you see that 30 sign? It indicates the maximum miles *per hour*, not per minute ... :ROFLMAO:

I can send you a spreadsheet if you want ... :ROFLMAO:

I'm at the opposite end of the scale. I usually get stopped by the Traffic Police for loitering with intent, and, on reflection, my jolly riposte 'You're wrong, Officer, it's not within tent, it's inside Motorhome ...' would have best been left unsaid ... (y)

Always too expensive for me and I live in a good area with a good driving record and 20+ years NCD

My renewal was significantly more expensive than last, it always always pays to switch every time to avoid the massive premium penalty applied to existing customers and AIB seem no different in doing this.

I'm waiting for my renewal reminder within the next week, fore armed with other quotes though.

How many of your insurance providers will give cover for a towed car, I.e. a trailer?

I ask as i’ve seen a recent post where the insurer has refused to pay out as the TOAD isn’t type approved as a trailer and therefore, they say, illegal.
The towed car was hooked up, at traffic lights and hit from behind. The MoHo insurer won’t cover the ‘trailer’ for reasons stated, the towed car’s insurers won’t cover damage to the Moho (as they say the car didn’t have a driver ) and the third party’s insurers are only offering to pay for damage to the car, not the MoHo or a-frame as they say the car in the middle hit the MoHo, not their client…. Conundrum?🧐
