A Must-Listen Programme For All Lovers Of Jazz
I listened to Cleo Laine sing on the BBC 'Friday Night Is Music Night' programme last evening (15/12/17) - at 90 years old!
The whole programme was dedicated to her life and 90th birthday.
She's a jazz legend in her own time and still has an absolutely amazing voice and brain.
If you listen on iPlayer radio she sings the last two songs in the show, one with the various Dankworths. The last song is pretty much a demonstration of how she can use her voice as a musical instrument.
Even now the other performers were very much in her shadow. Simply mind-blowing.
