My 3 eau dometic fridge has been playing up !
I believe the controller had a loose connectionDometic.jpg
The 2 holes top left and right have simple plugin wires so held in by friction. I found one of these yo be loose. Fride now seems ok.
It appears this box cpntains the chip etc but may only be needed when using gas. Thus it may be that if I unplugged it (no way Jose) then the fridge MAY ??? STILL work with 230v and or 12 v.
Does anyone actially know ??

I'm a frayed knot, which model is it?

I assume you meant 3 way and not 3 eau.

The model is not directly relevant.
It is dometic as is the part shown.
You cam see the multi connector and the wirez connect to thermocouple gas valve and more..presumably the switch on the fridge in the vehicle
0 Off
1 gas
2 230v
3 12v

I suppose you could just turn it on to 230v and see if it cools and if so maybe 12v will work too as you have to select them it may cut that box out of the system until needed for gas cooling.

Thanks I know I can do that but no way now whilst we are travelling.
It may blow a hidden fuse or worse !!
Hence my request..Does anybody KNOW....(We can all guess !)

One lead is the ignition wire and the other is possibly the ionization wire that detects the flame so if the ionization wire is loose the flame will not stay on as the box things the flame has gone out so it shuts the gas down it will then try a few more times then shut down on a lockout condition
