Acknowledging Our Amazing Rally Organisers
As we move into 2025, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible rally organisers who make our events possible. Lee and Linda, Jeff and Lorraine, Susan and Martin, Jeanette and Dave and Gordon — thank you for everything you do. We also have some members like Trotter, RugbyKen, Meloc8 and others that help out the rally organisers, and they deserve our thanks, too.
It’s important for all members to remember that our rally organisers are volunteers. They don’t get paid to run these events. They give their time freely, cover their own fuel and expenses, and do it all for the benefit of the community. Their dedication allows us to enjoy these gatherings, build friendships, and create memories.
I’d also like to take a moment to remember Meg, who sadly passed away in 2024. Meg’s contributions to our rallies over the years were immense, and her kindness and efforts will not be forgotten. She truly made a difference, and we miss her dearly.
As you attend rallies in 2025, I’d like to ask all members to be kind and courteous to the organisers. A simple “thank you” or offering a helping hand goes a long way. Please keep in mind that they’re doing this as a favour to us all, so let’s show them the appreciation they deserve.
Here’s to another fantastic year of rallies and community spirit. Thank you once again to our amazing organisers for making it all possible.
Phil
