good luck with your van search jeanette........on the road again soon...eh..

Hopefully trixie we still have the van though and see what happens for next year if we do decide to sell it

I've never come across that particular van Jeanette but if you buy from a dealer, you should have a bit of warranty time to fix any problems like damp. Mine had some damp in the overhead when we first got it and the dealer sorted it all out for us.
It's so good to hear you're looking again and hope you find something great... good luck :Thumbs_Up_Hand_Sign

We are looking at autosleepers with a u shaped lounge if possible Jennie and there is one not far from us we have a damp meter so we will be taking that, and it is from a dealer( I think)!! We went to see one on Friday and it had a cracked window and no room in it!

Oh Jeanette, that looks really lovely... I took a look on the website. I absolutely love my U-shaped rear lounge but the one you're looking at has a much better kitchen than mine. It's also encouraging that it's still in use... there can't be that much wrong if they're out and about in the winter. Go see it! You know you want to ;)

We probably will Jennie but can’t go until Wednesday don’t know if Malcolm is keen we will have to wait and see!! Lol (I usually have the last word)!! Haha ? we viewed a one on Friday I thought it was what I wanted but a woman’s prerogative! ? no it wasn’t right it had no room at all as it had the kitchen at the back and if anyone wanted to go to the bathroom I would practically have to either go to the front of the cab or step outside! Haha

That's the forerunner of my Bentley, built by the same people who took great pride in their work. We have found that having that layout is very comfortable and wouldn't want to swap it. Hope that you find that it's as good as it looks.

Yes, when Autocruise were taken over by Swift Bentley set up across the road with many of the original Autocruise employees and managers. When I look at an older Autocruise I see many similarities to my Bentley.

Thanks everyone for the replies much appreciated

If anything goes wrong with it 2cv is the parts easy to get for it? Will they be swift parts?

All the appliances should be relatively easy to get parts but as with any motorhome I doubt any manufacturers will support anything that is over 10 years old so you would have to use one of the specialists for fibreglass, plastic or wooden parts if you ever needed to.

I can't say for sure for the Autocruise, but Bentley parts are no problem. Mostly they are built from other manufacturers such as Truma, Dometic, Whale etc., and in the case of Bentley Richard Bentley who built them knows where most parts came from and is still in the trade, a very helpful guy who was involved in building Autocruises before Bentley.
