Does anyone know of any all year round dog friendly beaches and overnight parking spots in Devon and Cornwall please? We are planning to tour around for two weeks in July/August. Any particular places of interest would be appreciated too.

I'm afraid that peak holiday period is when the peninsula starts getting rather unwelcoming to motorhomers.
But here's a list from a holiday cottage web site

Two of the 10 have long summer restrictions.
The post contains a link to an App for Dog Spots - which I hope relates to our 4 legged friends!

Obviously joining WildCamping.co.uk will help find overnight spaces.

You can pay an overnight rate in the car parks of Westward Ho! and Appledore. I imagine both places would be ok for the dog...

If you are a National Trust or SNT member you will find there are lots of small NT sites around the Cornish coast, which you can find by googling NT carparks in Cornwall for a map and coordinates...non members have to pay. We have just spent a couple of weeks using these without problems. However a couple of days ago a friendly warden did remind us that really it’s not allowed, although they don’t get particularly bothered about a few vans Nov- April, after that they are likely to start cracking down particularly in the larger ones as otherwise they get overwhelmed. Generally the larger ones have prohibiting signs, and threats of fines on the parking machines. Some such sites are Wildcamping POIs some not. Watch out for very narrow road widths on some of the remote ones, depending on what type of van you have. We polished up the sides of our little coachbuilt quite nicely last night going up to Nare Head! Beautiful splendid isolation with sea view, even on a Saturday night.

As it gets busier down here from now on I think you will find the inland POIs less hassle.

Thank you all so much for your help & suggestions. We are members of the NT and found your ideas a great help. Happy motoring to all!

You can buy a book called dog friendly beaches in Cornwall gives you all the info you require you can also get them for other coastal counties

Great little NT campsite Higher town Farm, PL13 2PX, not actually stayed on it but parked just up road in NT carpark (we are NT members) and on return to van after great day on nearby beach, went into info barn to pick up some leaflets and got approached by a crazy female from the site who started screaming n shouting that we had to pay a fee! She was either drunk, drugged, mad or combination of all three! Kept insisting we had to pay to camp when we had only popped in to pick up some info!
She also claimed to be s NT volunteer which was total bull.
Goodness knows if she behaved like that on the site, but if you go there, watch out for this lady in her blue and white T2.
We did speak with a genuine NT volunteer the next day at a different carpark who appeared to know of this lady and her "antics" and be prepared to endure her ranting!

Black rock beach widemouth nr Bude allows dogs.
There is a motorhome field right nr the beach. Approx £15 pee night.

Woolacombe is 2 miles with only the first section where dogs are t allowed. And avoid westward Ho! as you have to walk miles to the dog part.
