Antequera 20th Jan 2026

I hope you are also visiting El Torcal, which is a reasonably easy drive from Antequera.
No - saving for the next visit. Arrived at Puerto Lumbreras about 1 hour ago, en route back to Moncofa because this looks one of the few places that will not be hissed upon or snowed upon next week, and we'll need the Solar for off grid.

Hoping to turn slightly brown because of sun rather than rust ... :ROFLMAO:

Not long left Moncofa...stayed in Xilxes, have reviewed it on poi ..now outside Mojacar but moving towards Portugal tomorrow. Been lucky with the weather so far, but think rain will get us soon!

We're on the way back to Moncofa, hoping that the forecast dry and bright, with scattered showers, is as bad as it gets ... Forecast temps in highlights teens settled it!

We'll be at Moncofa too in a couple of days. Having a sunny day in San Sebastion tomorrow but it looks a couple of degrees warmer there.

That's why we chose it! *But* there were quite powerful storms last week, and the Aire pitches are all quite soggy. Additionally, the beach has moved onto the promenade and you'll need wellies and a bucket'n'spade to be able to walk along it!

P.S. Will you be staying on the aire or at Camping Monmar, the campsite that is about 1km away. Camping Monmar has an unofficial Rally at present, which tends to be a little cliquey, and the nightly charge was 30€ over Xmas and New Year, but for that you get good showers/toilets

The aire is limited to 48 hours, so 3 nights max, and after that, you can join the street parking community. Within 300m of the aire, there is a grid of abandoned building projects that have finished roads, street lighting, and (recent addition) at least 2 freshwater taps, so you can nip along the road and refill water bottles etc and return to the aire , say each 48 hours to empty grey and black waste. The Aire has about 25-30 pitches, and there are upwards of 150 street parkers, all of whom are closer to Consum supermarket (park in layby outside the store on your way in to stock up on supplies, then drive to the aire)
