I am always on the look out for local festivals. Never forget the one we once found in Somerset. We followed a hand painted sign at a roundabout saying free camping. Ended up in a small village beer and music fes with free camping. Brilliant.

Assuming it is still running, the Sidmouth Folk Festival in East Devon, held (IIRC) the 1st or 2nd weekend in August, can be very good.

Arundel Festival 16th to 26th August.

Mandie and I normally go to this for the free music over the bank holiday weekend. The first year we went we parked Geraldine in Mill Road. No parking restrictions and the council don't mind motorhomes or campervans staying there overnight. Best to get there early on the Thursday or Friday morning for a space if going.
The music and beer is top quality and Arundel itself is a nice town with castle.
As this is nearly on our door step and we have family who live in Arundel we now commute there although I do miss the camping element.

We went to the bluegrass festival in Wales for years love a good banjo player.
