Presumably the reg plates don't match the vehicle otherwise it should be easily traceable ....

Still the VIN though, should be as you say easy enough to do, bet they'd find out if it was doing 35 in a 30 zone soon enough.

Should think its not got any insurance or Road Tax an their impounding it. The Police don't usually concern them selves with stolen vehicles as theres nothing in it for them
