I'm looking for a set for Liz, but it needs to be the over ear type as she has tiny lugs and the in ear ones fall out, I have some for her PC but the phone
needs the lightning connector not 3.5mm jack plug.

You can get a lightening to 3.5 mm adapter to work your wired headphones or just go Bluetooth

Liz is a huge technophobe she cannot undrstand even wifi to land line or mobile hotspot etc work, she has an ancient ipad with her gams on the one with the inch wide plug and gets confused with which end goes in the tablet or the USB socket.

Bone conduction is the thing to go for Kev, may be more than you want to pay though.

I haven't used a cable to connect to my phone for years, once you have paired its automatic every time you turn headphones on

We tried BT, too much delay on movies.

We both have bone conducting Aftershokz. We use them when running and in races (have to use them in races, no over the ears allowed so we can hear the marshals). They are comfortable to wear and if you want to get evey note and base, use the provided ear plugs too. Every bit as good as over the ear. Once the Bluetooth connection has been made (paired) they will automatically connect when turned on.

I agree but no good gor watching only listening sadly.

I got Caz a pair of the Shokz OpenFit Air bone conduction 'earbuds' (not what I know as earbuds as nothing goes into the ear). She is a bit deaf and is very impressed with the performance of them. Half a mind to get some myself but I use headphones to go to sleep with so prefer some that cut out external noice. For everything else though I think bone conduction is probably superior now excepting maybe proper full cans and the person having adequate hearing

You tried it recently Kev, can't say I get any noticeable lag on headphones, sometimes get on the sound bar at home if I try bluetooth but not with headphones I noticed

I have tried a few BT pairs Neil, and all the same lag, Google syas the same thing, it all takes time from the source to the ear, wired is much faster, sound is slower than light as we know and ye cannae change the laws of physics Jim.

But Bluetooth uses radio waves, which travel at the speed of light!

Yeah but its hard to breath in a vacuum.

If you google it, it says there is a delay, i suppose it takes a moment to convert and back again.
