Bike rack storage box

As I don't have a bike I'm looking for ideas on a storage box to put on the rack. Any advice will be much appreciated

We have a Fiamma one on the back (bolted to the unused scooter rack)
BUT same box is designed to sit on rack too I think...

Useful for bulky but light stuff.

Have a look on eBay, gumtree etc as used Fiamma boxes often come up for sale. Will save you a fortune as new Fiamma boxes cost a fortune, the 360 lt ultra box which is the most popular to mount on a bike rack has a rrp of approx £500.00 !

I'd agree on the Fiamma. We had one when we had a MH with a bike rack.

Just have half an eye on your payload and axle weights though, depending on what you are planning to carry in it.

My first van (also an Elddis) had very little storage so I bought a Fiamma Cargo Back (which I still have). It is bigger than a rigid box and straps on to a bike carrier. I stiffened it up by making some thin Ply sheets to fit in.

If you are using it for a bike do check the insurance, many policies do NOT cover high value bikes outside the van. A box is considered to be outside the body of the van.

I enquired about the bike rack and one cheap bike and my insurance didn't charge any extra. If you don't tell them and you have an accident/claim, they say they could refuse to pay out..!
