Blinds

My blinds were made from IKEA concertina blinds. They have several models and I'm sure you could adapt just the fabric part. In my case, I used IKEA TRIPPEVALS block-out cellular blind model. It's a double wall, white on the outside and black on the inside. It's quite a good heat insulator as well.

Never heard of those.

Self built campers can be easy and expensive if you go for all the available specialized equipment. Myself, I'm cheap and will try everything to save a few euros. I needed blinds but the kits were very expensive and I didn't want to use curtains so, when I saw these blinds from IKEA, I went for it. It has a spring loaded tiny paracord return mechanism with tiny pulleys that I rewired to suit my purpose and it worked fine.

That's a pretty good effect from outside, we've had a few vans with Remis blinds, they're not that good to be honest, very fragile, I prefer a curtain but most go behind the cab seat and that's too closed off for me, we did have one van where someone had DIY (I think) fitted a curtain that went around the screen.

We bought about half of our van stuff used or ex demo, and just stored it all up.
