as part of the weight upgrade dropped the van off today to have the bellows fitted 1/2 hr later got a call cant do it there’s a big steel plate where the bellows go , got back to him and the plate appears to be the anchor points for the rear seat belts not only is the base for the bellows wider than the bumperstop they replace but we need clearance for them to flex , started on it this afternoon the bolts are 6” long through a sleeve started to undo them and they turn so stripped out the inside of the van under the seat there’s the ecoblock one side of the divide & the combi boiler the other with heads visible just under them took about 2 hours and a bit of spanner rash but it’s off now to trim it down lol, the bluebellows is an old one the fitter gave me for sizing B46CA999-E6FA-41AC-9EBB-58C18A16CAFB.jpeg70C5A0EF-DAC7-4B29-B0F1-6628AAAB7DBF.jpeg761EF322-0912-4848-A4A4-B413530385CB.jpegimage.jpg

plumber/gasman so after i’ve carved it up will go back on with copious amounts of silicone grease, hopefully never to come off again it really does seem over engineered 1/3rd of the metal would serve,

Some jobs you just have to do ones self, well sorted.(y)
We tip never use capper slip on alloy parts only on steel, silicone or marine prop grease for alloy.
