story in the mail could be complicated if it’s like it was when the covid scare was on you will have to have a booked ferry etc
French authorities informed the European Commission last week that its borders with six of its neighbouring Schengen members - namely Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and Switzerland - will be reinforced with increased checks as of November 1 for at least six months.

The controls will be applied to travellers entering France via land, sea and air routes from all six nations and are set to expire on April 1, 2025, but authorities have said they could be extended further.

That might reduce the number of poor souls, in leaky inflatables, that the French turn a blind eye to, or even escort into UK waters.
Why April 1st ?
Ah .. I get it !
The French celebrate that day, like GB.. " Poisson d' Avril ! ".

Vive l' Entente Cordial.

So what are we expected to do? We're over there endo of April time.

If it’s in the Daily Wail, I’d take it with a pinch of Sel.

It's true.

France have had/are having a lot of problems with 'visitors'. Strange that we have heard nothing on the News programmes.

and when they get the problem visitors they escort them to the nearest inflatable headed for Blighty.

I honestly believe that France should have been given to Germany as war reparations and told to sort them out.

Which war is that?
I would have taken your comment as tongue in cheek, but as you started with "I honestly believe", I presume you are actually serious??

It was tongue in cheek and not proof read before I clicked go and no “;)” added. But you know what I meant. I meant for the Germans to be further punished by having to sort out les frogs

when i was in germany in the army sixties cold war time that had been a serious post war option in the same way that russia kept the east france was to have a strip along their border the uk & usa would operate a buffer zone down the centre i believe it was part of the truman proposal! ! thank god that was never actioned

maybe don't say "I honestly believe" to avoid confusion? otherwise when you DO honestly believe something, we won't believe you ;)

So switch over Germany and France then as well? or not? I'm confused.
