Hi B2
Suspect your loss of water could be from the plastic spiral wound filler tube, I have noticed on my Ixeo that water collects around base of water tank after filling.
On checking observed the filler tube at connection to the tank was wet.
On site I now fill my tank from inside van via the plastic screwed-on cover whereby I can monitor tank level, I never fill tank to level of external filling pipe, when I am on road I drop the level so as to prevent sloshing water entering the filling pipe.
I find the spiral plastic filler hose is basically a long spiral hole which allows water to escape/leak into van when tank is overfilled or is being sloshed about when travelling.
Currently seeking out a very flexible hose similar to rubber car radiator hose with plain ends which can be securely tightened using jubilee clips.
Hope this helps.
