After taking advice from here I purchased and fitted a Victron 75/15 smart charger to my 120watt mono panel. It works well, thank you for the advice
.
Can I wire another 100 watt panel to the 75/15 Victron charger or is it overloading it.?

I am considering buying a Renolgy portable suitcase 100 watt panel to assist my 120 mono on the roof of our MH.

The 75/15 can handle 220W at 12V so yes you should be okay (y)

and to add to that, if you do "overpanel", the worst that will happen is any output over the rated maximum current (so over 15A in the case of the 75/15) will just be capped at that maximum and no harm will be done.

You kindly advised me to change to a Victron last year, I did as suggested and very happy with the result. If I get this portable panel as discussed do I join both the panel cables together and then fit into the Victron or should I consider other options.
.
On another thought, could I utilise without any problems fitting the portable panel cables into the Sargent unit as it’s not used now as we have the Victron.

In parallel, you can get a splitter/combiner and join the cables together.
Later today as it happens I am installing a pair of panels and then adding them to the 3 panels fitted a week or so ago, so maybe will take some photos as using two different techniques?

In series you just fit +ve of one to -ve of other so no need for extra hardware. Personally I'd go parallel as more benefits overall.

You could do that as well I am sure. I would be inclined to use the Sargent controller for the occasional portable panel rather then mixing in with the permanent panels every now and then. Less faff.

Not on the same thread but nice pic of Volvo F88, did you drive one.

Fitted the panels but didn't take pictures as had to race against the rain, sorry :(
(lost the race by the end and just let myself get soaked while putting the tools away)

I will use the Sargent then, as you say less faff. Thanks.

I certainty did, I drove a 240 on European work, later a 290 on Commie bloc and Middle East work with an occasional trip in a F89, left hooker.

The piccky is an early F88. 240hp, it was a 6x4 single drive, owned by my former employer M&S Shipping,
I had a new F1017 on there, ending my international career after they made us all redundant and used Eastern European companies. Hey Ho keep on trucking, those were the days.
