Canbus 06 Fiat Ducato 2.2 die

Right where to start -
My vehicle based on Fiat Ducato 06 plate is on change over from older to newer model. (Ace airstream coach built hab) basically built by swift.
My vehicle IS meant to have Canbus.
The ISO multi plug for stereo system on dash has no input wires for Canbus (original van wire harness)

There are no cut backs or any other traces of it ever having Canbus going to the original stereo ISO plug.

My questions are - is this a reduced Canbus system ie - car running system is Canbus however unimportant ancillaries such as radio etc are not (maybe because motor home van was specific like this for moho conversion) as the normal panel van version ARE Canbus stereo for this year.

Will wireing up the multimedia unit as per current harness (no Canbus) interfere with the actual Canbus system? I cant see how it could if its getting a traditional circuit ?

The previous stereo obviously didnt have Canbus however it was crap and never used so I don't know if or not it caused any issues.

I know roughly how Canbus works however I've never come across a vehicle with Canbus that was only part Canbus like this looks to be?
Normally all electrical gubbings would have the high/low signal cables related to Canbus.

Any help? I'm scratching my head.
Cheers Alistair.

EDIT - just to clarify mine is face lift beginning of production.

The later 06 pre-facelift ones may have had canbus, but I've not seen it mentioned, I've had two 07 vans and they do, not sure how integrated it is on coach builds, but on my self build I just didn't touch it, the nearest I got was picking up a live from the reversing light bulb holder to power the camera.

Were yours panel vans? I believe the standard panel van did have Canbus to radio, but just found another thread on another forum with a 07 plate coach built that hasn't, so maybe the chassis cabs built for moho conversion didnt have full canbus for a reason.

one of each, is yours the facelift model or earlier, a pic of the cab will help, also ask on the fiatforum.

I'm fairly sure it will as it was part of the face lift both of mine had/have it and both 07 years, I would get a note of the VIN and ring Fiat UK.

It's got Canbus but not to headset.
All original loom is in place but no high/low wires to ISO harness connection.

Ah get ya, I think mine is a direct connection to the main 12v loom, I had to disconnect mine due to a ghost in the speakers, it drove us crazy, it was random even with ign off and radio off it would wake us at any time of night, when we're driving totally random

One thing to remember year of manufacturing can differ from registration year and a motorhome builder can have chassis in storage from the previous year.

True, but this is face lift & they all had Canbus - just wondered if anyone else had same as me with no Cambus at ISO despite vehicle being Cambus , therefore a standalone stereo system which I would of thought as unusual.
