Chain or Belt

My van is due for its annual spending spree in February on MOT etc.
Can anyone tell me please if its cam belt or cam chain.
2012 Boxer 2.2 hdi 130 hp.
I want to get it all sorted before Orkney

Have you checked the service book, I would have thought it will tell you.
My feeling is that it will be a belt but I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm which it is.

It could be a Ford engine (Pinto maybe?). Try calling a Main Dealer for info.

Ring main dealer they will.check it over phone .
If you Google your details it says belt..

If you look here and scroll down to the "Maintaince" section and it's says that it's chain drive

I would think it’s a chain same as mine 2.2 ford engine.

2.2 ford in a ducato is usually a chain but best to be sure any mechanic should be able to tell by just looking

Our 2011 Boxer has a chain belt
