Chausson Fresh Water Gauge

Hi, wondering if someone can help. My fresh tank is under a seat and has a water pick up and 4 thin wires screwed in the top - in the tank this comprises a pipe which goes from it to near the bottom of the tank to suck up the water - the pipe is surrounded by four different length stiff wires which I presume sense 1/4, 1/2/,3/4 and full. The level on my display shows a constant 3/4. I wiped the stiff wires which were clean anyway with no success. I was wondering if I snip the 3/4 thin wire on top of the pick up that may cure it. Just don't know. It's worked fine the 2 years we've had the van and conked this weekend. Any suggestions (apart from new unit - £200 +) much appreciated. Bob.

I was hoping to keep the 'read out' on my master switch unit, but this seems a good alternative. I'll check this out - thanks very much. Bob
