Any ideas how to clean white mirror guards. Have tried meths and acetone to no effect. They are discoloured from general wear and tear. Any help great fully accepted. (clean replies only please). Thanks in advance.

Sprayed mine with Plasticote primer then gloss finish, changed colour from black to white, they look very good but haven't proved durability yet

I’ve had mine painted as painted finish cleans up much better than the original plastic.

Hi I would try PVC solvent cleaner, the stuff PVC window fitters use. It is good to clean marks from white pvc and remove unset silicone sealer. I use it all the time at home.

Have. Them painted , much easier to clean then.!!!!

UPVC restorer?

I wonder if removing that UV damage with a mild abrasive like CIF might leave them requiring a little extra protection, like a good wax product.

I'd run with this. Give them a good clean first and get a can of {insert colour here} spray paint for plastics...around a fiver off Fleabay.

I have silver coloured ones on our mirrors which clean off and buff just fine.
