as many know i foolishly bent my back axle trying to go through a chicane ( my back wheels are 8” wider than front ) though i finally got that fixed yesterday at logan’s in carluke i didn’t realise how close i was to more trouble , couple of weeks ago when i knew it was going to be yesterday before i got the axle completed and knowing the wheel was leaning in and therefore running only on the inner corner of the tyre i had the tyre flipped and was pleasantly surprised to find no sign of wear !, this wheel had been on since our return from orkney and since flipping had been down to newbury and couple of times to the jimmies probably 250mls max so i confidently set of for druridge then cross country to carluke another 280 mls , i told graham i had a new tyre as the spare & would like that on when he completed the job on return he told me i was a lucky bugger and showed me the old tyre he had deflated it as he thought it was so dangerous with canvas and wire showing through
