Co-ords

Co-ords. Someone, I forget who, used degrees minutes and seconds to specify a location. I was interested, tried to find it on Google Earth and failed. So I took the co-ords to my favourite translator and it failed to raise an answer, end of attempt. This almost never happens with decimal degrees so please, please let us have them in decimal degrees, positive for East and negative for West or, indeed, South. To the best my knowledge all the modern instruments can be set to give or take decimal degrees and they are soo much simpler to deal with.

Google works with either format probably just not typed correctly you'll need to edit it. Don't want to make it to difficult to post cords we mighten get so many

That is the whole point. It is so much easier, both to read and to type and there is much less room for error. It is only a matter of going into the GPS setup menu and setting it to do decimal degrees once and you have it for always. On that particular occasion I could not see the error but G Earth did not like it and refused to accept it and so did my translator which claims to convert any co-ords to any other co-ords; and I could not see what was wrong with it.
I see you have the black flag (though one sided ((st Piran might object)) but nice animation) as your avatar, I have one on the back of my wagon (only a small one along with the union jack, st. Andrews and st Georges cross denoting the nationalities if all of us and all bought from Trago Mills)
