Another vote for DFDS. I’ve used the Dieppe crossing for all of my trips in the van, with only two exceptions. And have always used the discount, without a problem.
It’s unfortunate Steve, that the one time you tried to, you had problems. Taking your experience as normal, would be a mistake. Failing to try again, would make you the loser. Tbh, I honestly think they are a brilliant company.
Of the exceptions, one was the tunnel, during COVID, the other with P&O, on the Calais route going into Germany.
If I was feeling particularly flush, I would use the tunnel again. But P&O? I could never give my business to a company who treat their employees the way they did a couple of years ago.
If I were to go east into Europe, instead of my usual south, I’d use the Dunkirk crossing.
